Hi All,
I am sure that it was communicated that autosave would not commence if you are in your overdraft.
The account that Chip saves from for me, was in my overdraft and continued to save until i realised and withdrew the money to put back into my account.
It also saved the exact same amount everytime. I managed to catch the saves and put them back before it got to low in my account. I was wondering if this is a possible glitch
There is a setting which allows overdraft saves
Hi Chris! What bank do you have connected to Chip, please?
Hi Sarah,
Thank you for your response.
I bank with Lloyds
Overdraft saves is always off . I believe that this is also default
Great, and have you connected your bank account as well as your card?
Both my account and the card are connected to the Chip account
Just to mirror what I said over on Facebook, but as you’re with Lloyd’s and are bank and card connected, you should be fine. What I would recommend would be to jump onto livechat or send the main Chip Facebook page a message so they can take a closer look at your account and see what’s going on!
@sarahchip hi, I am having the same issue. Chip trying to take my account into overdraft. All the settings are set not to do this (As we currently don’t get a notification, I am having to keep by eye on this)
Have all the bank connections failed? It is almost the same amount it tries to take each time
Thanks
Tom
Hi @tdootson, what bank are you with?
If it’s a legacy bank (Barclays, Lloyds, Halifax etc) and you have your bank connected, then I’d recommend speaking to the live chat team and they can take a closer look as it may be the connection just needs a refresh. That can happen from time to time on any Chip account, but is a very quick fix.
Hey.
I’m with NatWest, I have asked and had it refreshed.
So we will see what it does in a few days times
Thanks
Tom
