Please note, whilst we’ll always do our best to help with any customer support queries, this channel is not monitored by our customer support team.

Community Guidelines

How to use the forum

This is a positive space to discuss all things Chip, with a direct line to the Chip team.

Only moderators and admins can post in the “Chip updates” and “Latest news” categories, but we’ve opened up replies to everyone, so you can share your thoughts and feedback on the things the team are working on.

Only Chip shareholders can post and reply in the exclusive “Chip Shareholders” category, and it’ll be hidden to everyone who’s not a shareholder (we’ve greenlit all shareholder emails to join, if you think you

Chip Shareholder category posts topics:

  • Features, services, products and the app in general
  • Shareholder updates
  • Share valuations
  • Crowdfunds

Please also follow normal best practice for any forum and check if there’s already a thread on your topic before you post.

How not to use the forum

Firstly we welcome robust feedback and constructive criticism, we want to keep this a positive space, and posts that are overly negative or individuals who exhibit consistently negative or trolling behaviour will be blocked.

This is not a service channel, and access is a privilege not a right!

Support and help

Whilst we’ll always do our best to help, this is not a monitored or secure support channel.

So we can’t answer queries about your specific account, including your rates, bonuses etc…

You can consult our extensive FAQs or head to your secure in-app support to securely talk to our customer support team.

General conduct rules

We’d just encourage you all to be polite and respectful:

  • Don’t post anything that a reasonable person would consider offensive, abusive, or hate speech
  • Don’t post anything obscene or sexually explicit
  • Don’t harass anyone, impersonate people, or expose their private information
  • Don’t post spam or otherwise vandalise the forum
  • Racism, sexism, or any other form of abuse or bullying won’t be tolerated

Rules include but are not limited to the above. All final decisions rest with Team Chip.

Note: whilst political discussions are not banned, Chip is a neutral entity, and the forum is not to be used as a personal platform to air political opinions.

Consequences for breaking the rules

We have ultimate discretion to remove content, as well as banning and removing users from the community, when this is the appropriate action.

If you see a community post which breaches these guidelines, please flag it to make one of the team aware.

Posts that are flagged by several members of the community are automatically hidden until the author or a member of the team has reviewed it.

If you experience abuse, harassment, discrimination, or feel unsafe, please flag this and a member of staff will take action.
